About
Kelly earned her Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology from Purdue University in 2006. After graduation, she began her career in Diagnostic Imaging at Purdue University's Veterinary Teaching Hospital, where she gained over 13 years of experience using various advanced imaging modalities such as radiographs, CT, MRI, nuclear imaging and fluoroscopy for both the large and small animal hospitals. During her time at Purdue, she also discovered her love for teaching as she had the opportunity to educate and interact with veterinary and veterinary technician students daily, both in the classroom and in clinical rotations.
Kelly earned her advanced specialty in Diagnostic Imaging in 2020 and has a strong passion for sharing her knowledge and love of radiology with others. She is proud to be a part of the Appalachian State team and excited to empower her students to have fun learning while they work to advance their careers and confidence!
Kelly and her family moved to Charleston, South Carolina in 2020. She loves spending her days at the beach with her husband, two children and her dog, Roger. When they aren't out exploring the low country, their family can be found out in the community working on their family business - a donut food truck!
